Not the biggest fan of The Little Mermaid Story , Film nor Novel, but the animation like all Disney Renaissance films had parts of it I loved, like Sébastien and Ursula and The Songs by them both that made the film palpable. The Visuals were great af, The acting was top notch, directing was good but not great, writers made the story make more sense and added alot of “Siren” Lore to the mix to add that layer of Depth and complexity. I thought the film was a little too long but the 3 acts were synced greatly, the final Act was Thrilling and added some fear that we had watching the animation as kids. Beautiful comedy and wholesomeness regarding family, responsibility and friendship and what we all can relate to CURIOSITY!
